Hair feels dirty but otherwise normal?
Begin with routine cleansing and conditioning.

Hair feels coated, unusually heavy, waxy, or regular shampoo no longer seems sufficient? Consider a clarifying reset.

Hair is freshly cleansed but needs softness and easier detangling? Move to conditioning.

Hair needs support before blow-drying, roller or rod setting, stretching or other manipulation? Consider lightweight styling preparation.

Hair needs hydration and slip without a rich cream? Choose the lightweight hydration pathway.

Hair needs more substantial softness and moisture support? Move toward a moisture cream or richer treatment according to need.

LV-01 is Liquid Veil's routine cleansing pathway. It was developed to clean while supporting the slip and wet manageability needed during wash day.

Marshmallow-root mucilage works alongside silk, Honeyquat and conditioning polymers within a purpose-built cleansing system. The goal is not to turn shampoo into conditioner, but to reduce unnecessary friction and prepare the hair for the conditioning step that follows.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
The hair needs routine shampoo cleansing with additional attention to slip and manageability.

DON'T REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Significant product accumulation has reached the point where routine cleansing is no longer doing the job. That's LV-01B territory.

LV-01B — CLEAN SLATE™

Classification: Protein-Free Clarifying Shampoo

A moisture routine can eventually create its own obstacle. Oils, butters, styling products and conditioning materials can accumulate until adding another layer becomes less useful than removing what is already there.

Clean Slate™ provides Liquid Veil's deeper-cleansing pathway. Its purpose is reset—not punishment.

The formula remains intentionally protein-free and provides deeper cleansing with chelating support for periodic removal of accumulated product.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair feels coated, unusually heavy, difficult to cleanse normally, or accumulated product appears to be interfering with performance.

DON'T REACH FOR IT BECAUSE:
You assume stronger cleansing automatically means better cleansing. Clean Slate is a periodic tool, not the default simply because it cleans more deeply.

PAIR WITH:

LV-02 — CURL & COIL INTENSE MOISTURE CONDITIONER

Classification: Moisture + Detangling Conditioner

LV-02 is the routine conditioning pathway following normal cleansing.

Its role is to restore softness, provide lubrication and slip, support detangling and improve manageability before the hair moves into preparation and styling.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
The hair needs its regular rinse-out conditioning step following routine cleansing.

LV-02B — PROTEIN-FREE MOISTURE RECOVERY CONDITIONER

Classification: Protein-Free Recovery Conditioner

LV-02B was designed specifically to provide a protein-free conditioning pathway, particularly following deeper clarification.

Its combination of humectants, conditioning agents and lightweight lipids helps restore softness, slip and manageability without automatically introducing another protein-containing treatment.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair has been clarified, feels dry or rough after cleansing, or the current routine calls for conditioning without added hydrolyzed protein.

PAIR WITH:

Why two conditioners?

Because routine conditioning and post-reset recovery don't necessarily require the same formulation strategy.

LV-02 supports the regular Liquid Veil wash cycle.

LV-02B provides a deliberate protein-free alternative when that is the more appropriate route.

Protein-free is an option—not a fear claim.

LV-03 — ALOE HYDRA GEL

Classification: Lightweight Hydration + Detangling Gel Primer
Assignment: Hydrate + Detangle

LV-03 provides a water-rich hydration pathway for hair that benefits from slip and conditioning support without immediately moving into a heavier cream or butter.

Built around aloe with betaine, panthenol, flaxseed extract, Honeyquat, Polyquaternium-7 and silk amino acids, Aloe Hydra Gel provides a lightweight layer that can help improve feel, manageability and detangling while leaving the hair receptive to whatever comes next.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair needs lightweight hydration, added slip or a gel-format primer before styling or layering.

ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR:
Hair that becomes weighed down easily, or routines where a rich cream is simply more than the hair needs.

DON'T ASSUME:
A gel must automatically be followed by a cream, butter and oil. If LV-03 gives the hair what it needs, you can stop there and style accordingly.

LV-06 — MOISTURE PREP SPRAY

Classification: Lightweight Leave-In Conditioning Prep

LV-06 occupies a very different position.

After rinse-out conditioner leaves the hair, manipulation begins. Hair may be sectioned, combed, brushed, wrapped, rolled, rodded, stretched or prepared for heat styling.

Moisture Prep Spray provides a lightweight conditioning bridge between rinse-out conditioning and styling without requiring the weight of a traditional cream leave-in.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair has been conditioned and is entering the styling/preparation stage—particularly before roller or rod sets, blow-drying, stretching or other manipulation.

ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR:
Fine or easily weighed-down hair and styling routines where oils, butters or rich creams before setting would be excessive.

So... LV-03 or LV-06?

Think about the assignment:

LV-03 asks:
Does the hair need lightweight hydration and slip?

LV-06 asks:
Does the hair need lightweight conditioning support while moving into styling?

There will be situations where either one is sufficient. There may also be routines where both make sense.

Neither exists simply to add another layer.

FIELD RULE No. 4:

Preparation supports what you're about to do. Hydration responds to what the hair currently needs.

This is where Liquid Veil moves from its lightweight pathways into richer moisture support.

LV-04 — ELIXIR NO. 9 MOISTURE CREAM

LV-04 provides a richer moisture pathway for hair that needs more emollience, softness and lasting conditioning than a lightweight spray or gel provides.

It is intended for hair that benefits from a cream-based leave-in layer during styling and moisture maintenance.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair remains dry or needs more substantial softness and emollience after cleansing and conditioning.

CHOOSE IT OVER LV-05 WHEN:
You want richer moisture support without moving into the collection's most intensive cream/butter pathway.

LV-05 — ELIXIR NO. 9 INTENSIVE MOISTURE BUTTERCREAM

Classification: Intensive Moisture + Sealing Cream

LV-05 sits at the richer end of the Liquid Veil spectrum.

The Buttercream is intended for hair that benefits from a more substantial emollient and moisture-sealing layer—particularly dense, coarse, very dry or otherwise moisture-demanding hair.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
A lighter leave-in or moisture cream isn't providing enough lasting softness or the hair routinely benefits from richer products.

DON'T REACH FOR IT BECAUSE:
You have textured hair and therefore assume butter belongs on it.

Texture alone doesn't determine how much product a head of hair needs.

LV-04 or LV-05?

Think intensity, not superiority.

LV-04
Moisture Cream → richer everyday leave-in moisture pathway.

LV-05
Intensive Moisture Buttercream → heavier emollience + sealing pathway.

Some hair may prefer LV-04 most of the time and LV-05 occasionally.

Some may thrive on LV-05.

Some fine or easily weighed-down hair may need neither.

FIELD RULE No. 5:

More weight does not equal more moisture. Choose intensity according to the hair—not the curl pattern printed on a chart.

LV-07 — CURL REVIVAL MOISTURE HERBAL MASK

Classification: Intensive Moisture Treatment

LV-07 is the collection's periodic intensive-treatment pathway.

Curl Revival is intended for occasions when routine conditioning isn't providing the degree of moisture support, softness or treatment time the hair needs.

It is not simply “the better conditioner.”

It is a different tool for a different condition.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair needs a more intensive moisture-conditioning session than its normal rinse-out conditioner provides.

DON'T ASSUME:
An intensive mask needs to replace routine conditioner every wash day. Treatment frequency should respond to hair condition and the rest of the routine.

FIELD NOTE:
A treatment earns its place by addressing an occasional need—not by becoming mandatory simply because it is more intensive.

LV-08 — ELIXIR NO. 9 RARE HAIR OIL BLEND

Classification: Botanical Hair Oil / Finishing + Sealing Blend
Assignment: Lubricate + Seal

LV-08 occupies the finishing end of the system.

Elixir No. 9 can provide lubrication, improve surface feel and help reduce moisture loss after adequate hydration and conditioning have already been established.

But there is an important distinction:

Oil is not moisture.

Oil does not replace the water component of a moisture routine.

Applying more oil to hair that actually needs hydration can produce oily hair that is still dry underneath.

REACH FOR IT WHEN:
Hair already has adequate hydration or moisture support and would benefit from additional lubrication, finishing or sealing.

DON'T REACH FOR IT WHEN:
The hair is telling you it needs water and you're trying to solve that problem solely with oil.

FIELD RULE No. 6:
Seal what is worth keeping. Don't use oil to substitute for what isn't there.

Haircare discussions sometimes reduce protein to two camps:

“My hair loves protein.”
or
“My hair hates protein.”

Liquid Veil™ takes a more practical approach.

Protein-containing ingredients and protein-free formulas are different formulation tools. Hair condition, chemical processing, product frequency, the rest of the routine and individual response can all influence when either approach is appropriate.

Some Liquid Veil formulas contain protein-derived or amino-acid ingredients because they serve a deliberate purpose within those formulations.

Others deliberately do not.

Why the Reset Pair is Protein-Free

LV-01B Clean Slate™ and LV-02B Protein-Free Moisture Recovery Conditioner create an intentional pathway for someone who needs to:

remove accumulation → restore softness and manageability → reassess the hair

without automatically adding hydrolyzed protein during those two steps.

That can be useful when the existing routine already contains frequent protein exposure or when the customer simply wants a protein-free wash cycle.

It does not mean protein is inherently harsh, drying or undesirable.

FIELD RULE No. 7:

Protein-free is an option—not a fear claim.

FINE / EASILY WEIGHED-DOWN HAIR

A routine might be as simple as:

LV-03 may provide additional lightweight hydration when needed.

You do not automatically need LV-04, LV-05 and LV-08.

DRY / DENSE / COARSE OR MOISTURE-DEMANDING HAIR

→ LV-03 and/or LV-04 according to need

→ LV-05 or LV-08 when additional sealing/lubrication is useful

HEAVY OIL / BUTTER / STYLER USER

If the hair begins feeling coated or normal cleansing stops performing as expected:

Stop adding layers.

Move temporarily to:

LV-01B Clean Slate™

→ LV-02B Protein-Free Moisture Recovery Conditioner

→ reassess

Then rebuild the routine using only as much moisture support as the hair actually needs.

ROLLER / ROD SET OR LIGHTWEIGHT STYLING

After cleansing and rinse-out conditioning:

LV-06 Moisture Prep Spray

→ Style/set

Add LV-03 only when additional hydration/slip is useful.

This is one of the situations where skipping creams, butters and oils may actually produce the better result.

INTENSIVE MOISTURE DAY

When routine conditioning isn't sufficient:

→ lightweight or richer post-wash pathway according to need

An intensive treatment does not mean every other rich Liquid Veil product must join the party afterward.

COMMON FIELD ERROR: “My hair is dry, so I'll add oil.”

Reassess: Oil can lubricate and help reduce moisture loss, but it doesn't replace water-rich hydration.

Consider: LV-03 or another appropriate moisture pathway before deciding whether LV-08 is needed.

COMMON FIELD ERROR: “My hair is still dry, so I'll add more products.”

Reassess: Dry-feeling hair can also be coated hair.

If repeated layers aren't helping, consider whether buildup is interfering with the routine.

Consider: LV-01B Clean Slate™ when clarification is actually warranted.

COMMON FIELD ERROR: “The richest product must work best.”

Reassess: Product richness and product effectiveness are not the same thing.

Fine hair may perform beautifully with LV-06 while another head benefits from LV-04 or LV-05.

Choose according to response.

COMMON FIELD ERROR: “Protein-free means protein is bad.”

Reassess: It doesn't.

Liquid Veil provides both protein-containing and protein-free formulation pathways because haircare needs aren't binary.
